Reduced Friction and Excellent Anti-Wear Performance of QBe2 Beryllium Bronze against 38CrMoAlA Steel in Pneumatic Downhole Motor under Grease Lubrication

چکیده

To improve the service life of newly designed pneumatic downhole motor, a kind commercially available lithium complex grease was used to help avoid rapid wear-induced failure dynamic seal tools in operation. The investigation on tribological behaviors QBe2 beryllium bronze and 38CrMoAlA steel tribo-pairs motor revealed that under lubrication, instantaneous friction coefficient wear volume became very low, showing greatly reduced excellent anti-wear performance. Compared with case without adhesive mechanism ploughing effect were significantly alleviated. Moreover, Cu Fe oxidized form composite oxides between frictional surface, further improving lubrication steel. Notably, test could be operated stably for more than 150 h fully reaching requirement actual drilling conditions. These results provide solid support practical application reported tools.

A STUDY ON WEAR RATES OF 100Cr6 STEEL RUNNING AGAINST SINTERED STEEL SURFACES UNDER DRY AND STARVED LUBRICATION

This paper investigates the tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel pin running against sintered steel bearing material used in hermetic compressors. Tests were conducted under dry and starved lubrication sliding conditions in air at room temperature. Although porous structure acts as crack initiation sites thus limiting the wear resistance of sintered iron in dry sliding conditions under high co...

Friction and Wear Behaviors of Gear Steel under Coupling of Rolling and Sliding

In this paper, the gear material 20CrMnTi was selected as the research object. Friction and wear behavior was performed on the M2000 friction and abrasion tester. The friction and wear mechanisms of 20CrMnTi steel were discussed under coupling of rolling and sliding. The results show that damage of steel-steel couples under coupling of rolling and sliding is caused by the interaction of mechani...

Effects of Doping Elements on the Friction and Wear of SUJ2 Steel Sliding against Aluminum Alloys

Damage to mechanical components caused by wear is considered to be an important issue for mechanical engineers. For the purpose of wear resistance, it is necessary to improve the material properties of the mechanical elements. Furthermore, low friction plays an important role in saving energy. Hence, it is important to establish a key technology for wear resistance and low friction through appr...

Friction and wear behaviour of tool steels sliding against 22MnB5 steel

Boron steels are used in hot stamping process due to their good mechanical properties. During the stamping process, the dies are exposed to aggressive conditions including adhesive wear, abrasion, thermal stresses and fatigue. In the present work, QRO 90 and UNIMAX slid against 22MnB5 steel in four conditions: with and without hardening treatment and, with and without Al–10%Si coating, in order...
